ABOUT ME

I am a level 7 qualified dyslexia assessor with current APC (Assessment Practising Certificate). I am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association and member of The Dyslexia Guild.

I am also a qualified primary school teacher with 17 years’ experience, the last 8 of which I have also been a qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) working in a state-maintained primary school.

I am a passionate advocate for ensuring that children with needs have suitable provision to help them to succeed with their learning, hopefully making school an easier and more enjoyable place to be and helping them in later life.

As well as being qualified to assess for dyslexia, my Level 7 postgraduate certificate in SpLD (dyslexia) qualifies me as a specialist teacher and I provide English tutoring, as well as diagnostic dyslexia assessments.

Based in Maidenhead, I am ideally located to assess children in Windsor, Marlow, High Wycombe, Henley, Bracknell, Slough, Wokingham, Twyford, Reading, and some areas within Buckinghamshire, North Hampshire and South Oxfordshire.

When I am not working as a SENCO, I enjoy being active outside; cycling, playing tennis and going on long country walks, often ending in a village pub for lunch or dinner! I also enjoy swimming.

"We will forever be grateful for the
support and care
Laura has shown our family."
